So today...cakes!!!

So today I thought I would share some of my cakes!! I only have ONE follower...LOVE YOU TRACY!! But maybe someday I will have others!!!! These first cakes are from my Wilton classes I took thru-out 2010!!!

This was our 1st cake...learning stars!!
I am not to crazy about stars!! But the rainbow was still pretty!!
*I did single layer since both myself and my daughter took the class*
Everyone loves a clown...ok maybe not!! My 16 year old took this 1st class with me and was not very happy about making a clown cake!!!!
This is my final cake for the fondant and gumpaste class!!! I really wanted to learn this stuff the most!! What a pain it can be tho!!! I have mentioned I ADORE ORANGE!! And the other BRIGHT colors!! The picture does not do it justice on brightness!!!!!
And my final final cake....I was sad to have classes end.
I enjoyed Sue and her lessons!!!
We learned the basketweave that night and had to try it out on our final cake...

I loved the 2nd class I took! Working with gumpaste and fondant.
I thought I would share my flowers here too!!!

These are my first flowers made with Gumpaste!
The rose and carnation!!
I tried putting some sparkle on the one carnation!!
Not bad, right!!!
Here are more... including the ORANGE mum!!
The carnation, the cally lily and the daisy!
This one was a lot harder to make then it looked
and was made with Royal Icing!
These are my first flowers with Royal Icing...
 Working on my roses...
 Fondant flowers!!!
Working on more flowers....trying to figure out
just what I want to do on my final cake!!

So that was my adventures with Wilton classes!!!!
And there is still so much to learn!!!

Not just cookies...

I didn't start out on this adventure with cookies on my mind!
I actually thought, CAKES!! I
worked in a bakery a few years ago and was taught how to decorate cakes by a great boss!!!
Well, the other night a friend text me and asked if i would make a cake for her daughters 21st birthday!!
I was so excited!
I love making cakes, especially for my friend Cynthia!!
Here is what I did for Brittani's 21st birthday.....
She loves Jack and her favorite color is orange!!
I have to say the girl has AWESOME taste!!!!
I ADORE orange!!!
I did mess up a bit on the cake...can you see it???
I tried to cover it with flowers...lots of flowers!!
But then i had to try to make the flowers "fit"....ohhh sometimes I think cookies are so much easier!!!!

I orginally made the "Jack" cake for my daughter when she turned 16!! These were my first two tries with Jack....
She loved them!!!!

Christmas is over....

Wow that month went fast!! And I sure made a lot of cookies!!!
What fun it was tho!!! Here is what my month looked like....

This is what over 100 cookies looks like!!!!
Isn't it AMAZING!!! I really love this..it's like a canvas to a painter!!!
Here is my first try with Santa...and my second!!
I didn't even add a face color to the first one! LOL
A few more from that batch!!
I was trying out a cookie cutter idea I learned from SugarBells!!
She can take any cookie cutter and make the coolest cookies!!
I am not that good...but i did use a candy corn and moon to make these!!!

Here are two batches I made on different days...
I tried making a snowman out of the candy corn too!!!!

These next three pictures are cookies I made for the kiddo's at the library!!
On Wednesday my friend Cynthia has story time!!!
I love trying out different things on the snowmen...
I know, your thinking "DOG BONES???" Yes, bones!!!
The local K9 officer came by to read the kids a Christmas story...
so for me it only made sense!
Like I said, FOR ME it made sense!!! LOL!!!!
I was trying out making zebra stripes....
I need to watch SugarBelle's tutorial again!!!
See...the candy corn cutter is my favorite!!! I even tried penguins!!
I also tried making little faces...only one turned out!!!
This cute little eskimo!!!
The finished batch!!! They sure go fast!!!
Here are a few other pictures to share!!
These were some gifts I had lying around!!
YUMMY!!
 Gingerbread people were my favorite!!
Simple, but always cute!!!
Snowflakes...so many possiblities!!!
Ohhh this was fun!! A little hard to get filled in before frosting started drying tho!!!!
I found this cookie pan at Walmart!!! Took a whole batch of dough to make it!!
I made one for the kids and my friends at the library for story time
and one for the pastor and his crew at my church!!!!!
This little guy was an attempt at a tutorial by...QUESS WHO??...
I'm telling you this chick ROCKS the cookie world!!!!
Mine...didn't really turn out!!! But I only tried ONE!
NEVER only try something ONCE...TRUST ME!!
 It gets easier with practice!!!
And for my last share....
I was so bored one day that i just did whatever came to mind!!
I really thought i could "paint" a scene on a cookie..PRACTICE!!
I need much more!!!
I also tried the skull from Monster High....PRACTICE!!!
And zebra stipes...LOTS more PRACTICE!!!
And a santa from a star...he didn't make the cut!! But still tasted GOOD!!
Heres wishing you a HAPPY HOLIDAY
